When did you join Strength Camp?

- July 2022

Why did you join Strength Camp SF?

- I moved out of San Francisco to Sacramento during lockdown. A local gym in Sac introduced me to weightlifting. In 2022 when I decided to move back to SF, I found Strength Camp on Google Maps and Yelp with lots of good reviews. I was curious to check it out, and had a great first class. After class, Kobe made sure he answered all my questions. It was an easy decision to join the gym.

Can you describe your top 3 goals you had before starting?

  1. Reduce body fat %
  2. Learn more about lifting techniques
  3. Maintain a sustainable workout routine

Can you list your achievements you’ve had since beginning at Strength Camp.

- I am a proud Strength Camp regular, attending 3-5 classes a week. Strength Camp helps me build a sustainable workout routine. Second, I developed a better relationship with food as I noticed I’ve gotten better at weight control. Third, I am more confident with my technique, which is helpful when I push myself to lift heavy in a safe way.

What compliments have you received since joining Strength Camp?

- “You look athletic”

- “Your form looks good”

- “It is so nice you can make friends at gym”

What is the biggest obstacle you’ve faced in your journey?

- I injured my back over a year ago. I was so stubborn I trained through pain, which made things worse. I am now 90% back on my Deadlift. A lot of credit goes to the Strength Camp coaches who helped me understand how to train around the pain and for introducing me to Tommy for Chiropractic care.

What is your favorite thing about Strength Camp? What makes it unique from other gyms?

- Strength Camp creates a close-knit community where both coaches and members are so supportive and fun to hang out with. It makes it easy to show up to class.

What is your least favorite thing about Strength Camp?

- Strength Camp grows in popularity and equipment wear off fast. A big part of me is happy to see it doing well though.

Who would you recommend Strength Camp to?

- I believe strength training is for everybody, and Strength Camp will accommodate you no matter where you are in your fitness journey.

What does it mean to you to grow stronger?

- It means I am able to travel to more places, try new things, and better enjoy life with a healthy body.
