• When did you join Strength Camp?

- April 2024

• Why did you join Strength Camp?

- I joined Strength Camp to try to build more stamina because I felt like I was gassing out too quickly in jiu jitsu. I attended a class and knew their workout format was exactly what I was looking for.

• Can you describe your top 3 goals you had before starting?

1. Building stamina

2. Weight loss

• List your achievements you’ve had since beginning at Strength Camp

- The biggest achievement for me is showing up almost every day. I’ve never had that kind of commitment to anything other than work.

- My bench went from 95 lbs in June to 125 lbs in September. I plan to be at 1 plate next PR week.

• What compliments have you received since joining Strength Camp?

- I get a lot of “wow do you lift, you’re so strong” from my patients. My nephew is proud of me (For context we’re only 3 years apart, so he’s like my brother).

• What is the biggest obstacle you’ve faced in your journey?

- My left shoulder. Staying on top of my nutrition and limiting myself.

• What is your favorite thing about Strength Camp? What makes it unique from other gyms?

- Somehow, your gym has managed to fit in the best coaches and most awesome members in this little Daly City hidden gem. I love the feeling when I’m lifting and (Coach) Pat or (Member) Mara will look at me funny and tell me I can lift heavier and then I’m able to. The energy of PR week when we all come together and are all happy for each other. Everyone here just has so much love for one another and I’ve never experienced anything like it before. I’m really, really happy to be here.

• What is your least favorite thing about Strength Camp?

- Parking at 6am, other than that no complaints.

• Who would you recommend Strength Camp to?

- I recommend Strength Camp to everyone, all the time.

• What does it mean to you to grow stronger?

- Gainz, baby! But also pushing myself for even just one more rep when I want to stop. Being open to trying new things. Doing bear crawls even though I hate them.
