When did you join Strength Camp?

- I joined at the end of December 2021!

Why did you join Strength Camp?

- I wanted to join a gym that offered classes regularly. I did my trial during PR week, and I did the workout but kept an eye on those achieving PRs. Seeing people cheering on their peers was a different environment.

Can you describe your top 3 goals you had before starting?

- My top 3 goals were to be active consistently, lean out/tone up, and build confidence in and outside the gym!

Can you list your achievements you’ve had since beginning at Strength Camp:

- The amount of discipline/routine and structure I have established for myself in the past six months is a big win because it's been crucial for achieving goals. I remember during my first month, I couldn’t even do the main lifts at low weights. Now, I’ve seen so much progress! I didn’t even think I could push, but I believe these achievements in a short time frame speak volumes of how amazing the Strength Camp SF coaching team is.

What compliments have you received since joining Strength Camp SF?

- Overall, I think my friends have just been impressed that I’m even being active. Also, Strength Camp coaches have commented on noticeable progress in my strength and form!

What is the biggest obstacle you’ve faced in your journey?

- I have been my own biggest obstacle. "You will always be your biggest critic." Sometimes, I feel like I’m not progressing fast enough or struggle with numbers that people easily push, so it’s hard not to compare myself. I often have to remind myself that everyone’s on their journey, and given time and effort, I’ll get there.

What is your favorite thing about Strength Camp? What makes it unique from other gyms?

- Hands down, the commUNITY! I know we’re rooting for each other. Seeing people hit PRs and progress is great. I believe the members and coaches want to see you win. I used to be intimated by the “gym bro” culture, but everyone makes you feel so welcomed, and I haven’t encountered any arrogant lifters.

What does it mean to you to grow stronger?

- Getting stronger means having the physical and mental capacity to push past your limits and utilize that to grow!

Who would you recommend Strength Camp to?

- I tell everyone they should try out a free class! But I recommend strength camp to anyone struggling to find structure and a routine in their training.

What is your least favorite thing about Strength Camp?

- I 100% understand that creating a schedule that works for everyone is impossible. Sometimes, I do wish more traditional classes were offered during the weekend.
